The last breath of Volkion got out of his body as every cell of it transformed into sand, his agonizing scream of agony was lost to sand, dust and time. The frantic run of Assaï and the group toward Arkus’s men to try to save himself was epic, trying eveything to save his slowly transforming flesh to sand as he tryed to outrun death itself. His horrified look will haunt foreever Dread Catrix and her compagnons as his very eyes and features almost instantlty transformed into dust and sand in the corridor.

A rich hall of light appeared before your eyes. You recognized the pattern on the floor as the same the was on Ebar Token’s. The hourglass on the floor seems to be emptying drops of blood into a liquid much darker. The walls themselves are of pure yellowish light and eleven doors are around the round room. At eahc of the door a ghostly form is entering the room. It is obvious that each of the form are only half complete and the form to their left, in pair, seems to complete the one on the right; all of them are still ghostly in appearance. Only one of the form does not appear ghostly. You recognized the shape as the being that called himslef Ebar. He look much younger, withou a beard but with the same ageless wisdom in his eyes.

Greating you to the hall of reincarnation, Ebar explain to you that you must now choose of of you two forms. The other will remain here for the next reincarnation if it happens. He also remind you that the pendant known as Ebar’s Token, will be hidden again for you to find. You will not be a ble to chose your reincarnation the next time without the token. He wishes you good luck and depart the same way he came.

You know inside you feal the choice must happen now. A few moments of hesitation later, you have choosen you new form. The instant the choice is made the room vanish and you fall into forgetness…

Depuis le temps que vous êtes consicient dans votre tendre enfance, vous deviner que votre vie est vouez à plus grand que ce que vos parents vous prépare. Vous avez la conviction que ce n’est pas la première fois que vous vous éveiller au monde de la plaine, de la dure survie de la plaine.

Après votre entrainement, vous savez que votre nouvel vie vous offre à nouveau de vaste possibilités. Vous avez retrouver dans les dernières années les quatres autres âmes qui se sont réincarner en même temps que vous. Sans savoir exactement pourquoi, vous avez passer beaucoup de temps avec le vieux sage de la ville – Ebar. Vous avez réaliser qu’il connait l’origine de vos marques de naissances. Il vous a souvent parler d’un objet qui peut vous aider dans votre future quête mais n’a jamais mentionner sa location ni sa nature.

Vous avez mener en parallèle une vie assez active au sein de la communauté de Blue Water. Vous avez participer avec la garde de la ville à plusieurs opérations de nétoyage et de protection contre les monstre de la plaine. En résumer voici les faits saillants des trois dernières années:

  • Vous avez aider la ville de Blue Water à battre des monstre errant et patrouiller les alentours ainsi que la ville.
  • Vous avez éradiquer une infestation de loup au nord de Blue Water.
  • Vous avez escorter à au moins deux reprises aller-retour une caravane de commerce à Ul-Bakak.
  • Lors de la dernière escorte vous avez combattu un nids de fourmits géantes.

La ville semble être fleurissante et en pleine expension, la population de la ville atteinds maintenant les cing miles âmes. Par contre plusieurs événement ont laisser leur marque dans les dernières années et vous en avez les témoins parfois passifs parfois actifs:

  • La réputation d’Arkus Boreno, le marchand de pacotille, est maintenant un sujet de discussion de tout les instants avec des nouvelles rumeurs à son sujets constamment. La dernière au goût du jour est qu’il a bien l’intention de faire pression afin de changer le système gouvernemental, seulement pour ses propos il sembble bien qu’il ait “disparut” pendant un mois dans les cachots de la ville.
  • Arkus, toujours Arkus, il prétant avoir eu la visite de visiteurs d’outre Rock Wall. Après investigation, la garde de la ville semble confirmer que la rumeur n’est qu’un coup publicitaire d’Arkus afin de mousser ses affaires.
  • Forge Town semble avoir augmenter les prix des ses marchandises, ce qui pousse la guilde des métalurgiste à chercher des alternatives pour les métaux de base ou simplement augmenter les prix, ce qui ne plait pas à la population.
  • Hezek Belen est outré de l’attitude anti-socialiste et anti-progressiste de la ville en ce qui attrait à l’art. Il s’est officiellement join à la croisade d’Arkus Boreno contre le système gouvernemental de la ville et du pays. Lui aussi a disparut quelques semaines dans les cachots de la ville.
  • Un premier bâteau à voile de Hill Town est arriver il y a quelques mois. Cette arrivé complètement changer l’atmosphère de la ville. Le bâteau est repartir quelques heures plus tard mais depuis ce temps l’armée semble s’entrainer de plus en plus et plusieurs personnes semble avoir été inciter fortement à joindre les rangs de l’armée.
  • Vous avez été demander de joindre l’armée de Blue Water en tant que spécialiste de missions spéciales. Sans vous en dire plus la ville attends votre réponses d’ici quelques jours/semaine.
  • Des rumeurs qu’un magicien maintenant controllerait la ville de Hill Town fait beaucoup de bruit. La guilde des Arcanistes semble perplexe puisque les magiciens ont disparut avec la civilisation il y a de ca plusieurs centaines d’année…

The Next Morning

Vous vous êtes rencontrer depuis quelques années déjà. Vous avez tous partager un certai désir d’aventure et d’exploration. Vous avez joint la guilde des marchants afin d’avoir un prétexte pour sortir de la ville et voir du pays. Vous avez ainsi visiter un peu Hill Town et Ul-Bakak, ainsi que le vestibule de Forge Town. Vous avez combatu certaines créatures qui vivent sur la plaine et aux abords de Rock Wall.

Vous avez accomplit certaines choses pendant les dernièrs années. Voici en résumer:

  • Vous avez aider la ville de Blue Water à battre des monstre errant et patrouiller les alentours ainsi que la ville.
  • Vous avez éradiquer une infestation de loup au nord de Blue Water.
  • Lors de la dernière escorte vous avez combattu un nids de fourmits géantes.

Sans savoir pourquoi, une fébrilité s’est installer dans Blue Water il y a maintenant plusieurs mois. Vous avez multiplier les voyages entre Ul-Bakak et Blue Water, autrefois quelques uns par année, dans le dernier 6 mois vous y êtes aller quatre fois, sans plus d’explication.

La ville semble aussi avoir son lots quotidiens de choses qui font aller les rumeurs et les conversation des gens normaux:

  • Arkus Boreno, le marchand de pacotille, s’est fait mettre ne prison pour troube de l’ordre publique. La rumeur veux qu’il ai complètement perdu la boule et qu’il ai insulter le roi de la plaine parce que celui-ci a refuse de croire les rumeurs en provenance de Hill Town. Il est toujours en prison.
  • Forge Town ne semble plus vouloir faire affaire avec Blue Water. Les rumeurs veulenet que la route principale est maintenant bloquer par des insectes géants. D’autres rumeurs veulent que Forge Town et Hill Town on décider de ne plus être vassaux de Blue Water et donc on décider d’arrêter le commerce.
  • Hezek Belen, l’artiste de la ville a tenter de plaider la faveur du roi pour la cause d’Arkus Boreno, mais sans succès. Dans un élan fulgurant il a défier les autorités de la plaine de dire la vérité sur ce qui se passe à Hill Town. Il s’est arrêter et neutraliser par la garde avant qu’il ai pu dire quoique ce soit. Personne n’a entendu parler de lui depuis.
  • Sans prévenir, contrairement a ses habitudes, Gantuir the Mute, a décider de partir de Blue Water. Avant son départ il est arrêter chez le vieux Ebar. Depuis il n’a pas été revue.
    • Des rumeurs de plus en plus forte semble indiquer que la vile de Hill Town n’existe plus. Elle aurait été complètement razer par des morts vivants.
    • La dernier caravanne de marchant à revenir de Ul-Bakak semble indiquer que la ville a été attaquer à au moins deux reprise dans les dernières semaines par des créatures vertes, elles n’ont toutefois pas réussit à faire beaucoup de dégat. Le fait intéressant est qu’elle attque du nord de la ville.
    • Blue Water cherche un nouvelle approvisionnement en métal depuis que Forge Town semble avoir fermer ses portes à toutes communication et interraction extérieurs.

La caverne au tatoo

le 25 de Planting 347 PY.

Les wyverns ont fait mal, le combat fut court et couteux. Après que vous vous êtes réfugier dans la forêt et survécu une attaque de Grey Render, Assaï a fait la découverte d’un sentier qui vous a amener dans une caverne qui, sur une roche à l’entrée, était gravé le symbole même de vos tatoos.

L’exploration de la cavern fut brève, une seul grande pièce, avec huit saillit rocheuse qui vous ont fait penser à des lits. Dans le mur du fond, cinq portes avec chacune un symbole différent.

D’un commun accord, le groupe ouvre la porte avec le symbole d’une trèfle, à l’intérieur vous vous êtes battu contre des personnes qui disparaissait. Le combat fût finalement perdu et vous êtes sorti de la pièce.

Depuis quelques heures maintenant vous vous reposer et réfléchisser sur cet épreuve un peu bizarre. Par contre cette période de réflexion semble avoir porter fruit, vous déduisez plusieurs choses:

  • Les cinq portes (maintenant quatre) représente un défi à surmonter
  • La porte de sortie qui vous a sembler évidente, avec le recul vous réaliser que sans gagner le défi, la porte ne s’ouvrira pas
  • Vous réaliser que les défis seront probablement martial
  • Vous réaliser aussi qu’il y a plus d’une manière de gagner un défi mais vous n’êtes pas capable de mettre le doigt dessus

Maintenant, vous êtes reposer. Vous êtes prêt à affronter un nouveau défi ou simplement partir, mais quatre porte avec des symboles se dresse devant vous…

As the combat range againts the death knight, you know you can win. But suddenly reinforcement arrive. Humans and undead fighter together to kill you, the though is hard to accept but you do what you can. Selus is down againt, Louis and Louise are fighting for their lives against waves of skeleton, Assai goes in freezy – “too much undeadé… must kill then all… DIE! … DIE!… DIE!…”, Palermo goes for the some human on the side. His last thoughts are simple, howa simple robed human can kill me so easily while he feals his soul being ripped from his body… he never felt someone so evil and so glad to kill… he is socked and afraid when he feals the last tought of that human… “another body for my army…”. The rest of Palermo’s friend fight to the end, bringing with then scores of skeleton, but at the end, they realized just as Palermo did that the real ennemie was not the undead but the humans who controllled them…

He hopes that you will remember this and focus on your true mission. He will try to help you as much as he can in the living world… We will meet soon, again…

Harvester 11, 379 PY

Depuis votre tendre enfance, vous avez la nette impression que votre destinée est importante. Vous avez réaliser cela en vous rencontrant et réalisant que seul vous dans toute la villes de Blue Water êtes porteur d’un tatoo, le fait que chacun de vos tatoo sont pareille vous confirme intérieurement que vous avez une destinée liée. Vous avez quand même accepter l’éducation que vos parents vous ont donnés. Parcontre vous avez toujours continuer à croire à plus. Le tout s’est confirmer dans votre coeur lors de votre première séance avec le vieux Ébar. Avec les enfants de la ville vous avez écouter avec aviditer la légende de la plaine. C,est à cette instant que vous avez comprit que votre destinée avait à voir avec le monde. Par la suite, le vieux Ébar vous a invité souvent vous cinq à écouter et ré-écouter la légende, à vous reconter toutes sorte d’histoire que ses ancêtre lui racontaient. Des choses qui semble complètement invraisemblable des temps jadis avec des mages très puissants et des villes avec des milliers de personnes qui y vivent.

Vous vous complaisiez dans cette environnement dupuis une dizaine d’année lorsque des événements tragiques se sont produits, depuis ce jour, Ébar a changer un peu. Il passe moins de temps avec vous et vous dit que le temps approche pour lui, il essaie de vous faire accepter que la fin est proche, pour le bien ou pour le mal. Quoiqu’il arrive, il faut que vous trouvier la clé et accomplissiez votre destiné…

Voici les faits saillant de la vie sur la plaine qui influence le contexte de la vie:

  • Le monde d’Arkus Boreno a exploser de profit. Sans être un élu de la ville de Blue Water, il demeure le citoyen le plus influent. Des rumeurs disent qu’il possède son armée privée d’une centaine de mercernaire d’expérience. Ces mercenaires seraient capable de rivaliser avec l’armée de Blue Water. Personne ne sais pourquoi, mais lui et Hezek Belen ne s’aime pas, les rumeurs disent qu’il y a un froid en tre les deux depuis leur séjour conjoint en prison. Depuis ce temps, Arkus laisse Herek traquille et semble ne pas lui faire comfiance. En plus d’être très influent, certaines guildes disent ouvertement qu’ils supportent Arkus pleinement, ces guildes sont la guilde des fermiers, des brewers, trackers, shepperders et celle des traders. Ce support est apparenter au safe house d’Arkus à l’extérieur du mur principale de Blue Water, d’ou d’autre rumeur veulent que les conseillers des régions extérieurs sont sudoyer par Arkus afin d’influence le vote politique de la ville.

  • La ligue des Guildes (digirer semble-t-il par Arkus) se plein plusieurs fois par semaine que la plaine n’est plus aussi sécuritaire que Blue Water le dit. DEs attaque de mort-vivant dans les dernières année se sont multiplier alors qu’elles étaient en déclin.

  • La ville de Blue Water est entrée officiellement en guerre avec la ville de Hill Town il y a trois ans. Les rumeurs que la ville de Hill Town avait été razer par des mort-viants fut confirmer. BLue Water a déclarer qu’il fallait libérer la ville de cette infestation. Malheureusement après trois ans de guerre, il ne semble pas y avoir de progrès. Les rumeurs veulent des morts vivants intelligent sont derrière cette organisation et donc sont capable de déjouer les tactiques des humains. Les rumeurs veulent que les morts-vivant ont établie un fort à l’entré de la forêt de Hill Town, ce qui a pour effet que le bois de qualité en provenant de Hill Town n’éxiste plus.

  • Depuis la construction de ce fort, Forge Town il n’y a plus de communication ou de commerce constant avec la ville de Forge Town. Il semblerait que toutes communication avec eux est rompu. Ce qui est dramatique pour Blue Water puisque ni nouveau bois de qualité ni métaux en grand quantité n’arrive à la ville.

  • Ul-Bakak a rapporter des attaque de créature venant du nord, ces créature semble être des hommes-lézards avec beaucoupo d’intélligence mais peu de moyen. Il on réussit néanmoins à ralentir de trafique de pierre entre BLue Water et Ul-Bakak.

  • Hezek Belen l’artiste le plus connue de la ville est de plus en plus intolérant de la politque de la ville, surtout depuis la guerre. Si les rumeurs des morts vivant intelligent sont vrai, faisant la paix avec eux et continuont notre vie tranquille est son opinion et il la partage avec qui veux bien l’entendre.

Durant votre jeune carrière et les dernières années vous avez accomplis certines choses:


  • Pour les marchands vous avez détruit une meutes de loups. Certains parmit ces loups atteignait la grosseur d’une cheval.
  • Vous avez aider à baliser le chemin entre Ul-Bakak et BLue Water à la suite d’une invasion de fourmit géante que vous avez éradiquer.
  • Vous avez explorer et vider une caverne à l’extérieure de la ville pour Arkus Boreno, depuis ce temps il essait de vous recruter dans son armée mais vous n’avez pas prit de décision.
  • Vous avez aider l’Armée de Blue Water à établir certain camps proche de la forêt de Hill Town afin de contenir les mort-vivants.

Toutes ces actions vous on mériter une certaines notoriété dans la ville. Parfois bonne parfois mauvaise. Vous êtes maintenant à la croisé des chemin et vous savez que vous avez une destiné devant vous. Vous avez recut des offres très intéressantes de ces groupes et vous savez que vous devez prendre une décision, voici les offres:

    • vous avez une solde de 1 gp par mois.
    • Vous avez accès à une troupe de 20 hommes d’armes.
    • Vous avez une chambre dans la caserne de Blue Water
    • Vous avez le droit à 25% des trésors trouver, le reste va à l’armée

  • Vos responabilité:

    • Accomplir les ordres aux meilleurs de vos capacité
    • Être au service des militaires pour des missions spécials quand l’armée en a besoin
    • Entrainer les recrues lorsque vous êtes à Blue Water
    • Accepter d’être déployer là ou vos talent sont nécessaire

The Goat and the Men

As you walk down the mountain range, you observe several things that seem misplaced in these desolate area lire orchard of apples, pears and other fruits that you don’t even know existed. You also see plantation fields of wheat and other edible plants. It takes a few hours before you see a small dust cloud coming your way.

After meeting the locals, a group of goat men armed with great axes and protected by leather and metal armour like banded mail you mutually agreed to go and meet the leader of the group. You learned that the leader is a few hours away and you should, with the goat men reach their camp location before the end of the day.

As you approach the group camp, you notice that some of the fields are tended by other goat men, using agricultural tools and techniques that you have only seen before in the farm land of Blue Water. You also notice that there is several areas where livestock seems to be taken care of, you recognize cows, goats and pigs. All areas seem to be well tended and worked so quality seems to be one goal of the goat people way of life.

Approaching the camp, you see several permanent tents, there is many goat people of all ages – at least of what you can tell, and of vary hue of brown, from dark brown for big and tall to a light shade of orange-brown younglings and smaller ones. There seems to be a small commotion at your arrival and several of the goat people made a point to come and see the group of human being escorted into the camp.

You a brought to ward a bigger tent than the rest, this tent have two flags flying at top of it, the first one and highest one is made of four triangles of blue, yellow, red and white. The second flag, smaller and in the form of long serpentine flag with two points at the end, this flag is blue. At the entrance of the tent, two poles holding each one blue flag are standing each side of the door. Two guards are standing watch, but you can’t help notice that their battle axes have a strange green shinning when they move them to open the door for you and the three goat men that precede you inside and the three following.

The great dome that the tent creates is about 15 feet high and the section of the tent is about 25 feet across. Inside this area there are another two guards. They again open the inside curtains to let you in the next section. To your surprise, this section is very large, about 40 feet across, still about 15 feet high. At the opposite, a small structure holds what seems to be a throne that is about 3 feet from the ground. Sitting on the throne is the biggest goat men you have seen so far, about seven feet tall, strongly build, wearing very heavy metal amour as if it were a cloth shirt. Once you have all enter and took place standing in front a big cushion, he steep up and great you in a common dialect that is very good:

“Welcome humans, to the tribe of the Kistrah, I am Lagh’jorsa thane of this tribe. I am welcoming you here are guest of honour as my people have told me you are seeking help in smiting your enemies. Please be seated and let’s talk. Tell me, who you are and why you are here in more details; please entertain me and my subjects on your past quests, your goal and the reason of you being here! Bring the feast! Let’s eat and drink while we tell tales of courage and war and sorrow!”

As he sit back down, you are sitting down and a full retinue of servant start bringing food, wine and beer and all sorts of rich, fat, well cooked and smelly food, a full course meal awaits you and take the rest of the evening until very late in the night.

You hear all sort of tale of fights and duels, successful and failed challenges, history of strength feat and other prowess of muscle and warrior like culture. You deduce that this society is a tribal one and the strongest is the leader, that leader can be challenge at any time for the control of the tribe. But as you continue discussing over the meal, you realized that all the goat people are very attentive to all that you say…

The Goat people or the Ibixian

As you wake up of the dream that was the test of the five circle, your injuries feels real enough, thos of you who died in the battles seems even more ill. It is like if you have slept in a week, but the good news is that you are victorious of the tests.

Onje of the goat come and show you to your new quarters for the time you are the guests of the goat people. This new place is rich beyond belief, you never saw a “cave” like this one. First you get in a hall of greationgs which about 25 feet across on both sides, bench on the right and left allows guest to sit down while removing extra layers which can be place on hooks make for this. The hall opens into waht is a grand salon. Three great couch of four sitting place each are place in front of a fire place that must be at least 10 feet wide and 5 feet high. A great fire is slowly bruning in it and provide a sense of confort that you are not used too. The smell of burning wood fills the rooms and you notice that incense is also burning giving a small touch of jasmin and burning wood, strange combination but very refreshing in your current state. On the left wall, six doors line up at equal distance on the 80 foot wall. All except one seems to have a key in the key hole. In the right wall a 15 foot arch opens into another room that seems to be a kitchen of some kind as there is a table and several chairs. A bol of fruit and a jar of what you think is water are lay on a tray on the table with 5 glasses. There is also another door in the right wall which is simple but a little larger than the one on the left wall.

After taking a few steps in the living room, a the door on the right wall opens and a goat men exit it with a tray containing 6 glasses filled with a dark redish liquid. He bring the tray the each and everyone of you, urging you to take a glass and then to the goat men that is with you, then he retires through the same door. The goat men with you raise the glass and says: “in honor of you victory” and empty the glass, he waits as few second before urging you to do the same… once you have all drank, you realized that the liquid helps you feeling better and it seems to heals some of the wounds you have.

The goat men present himself at that time: “I am Theg’Kraga, I have the great honor of being your host for the time you are here. My helper, you have meet a few seconds ago will take casre of all the food details and will provide for such needs. You just have to go to the kitchen (wile pointing the big table pass the arcade on the right). You are free for the rest of the day for you to rest and prepare for the day meal of tomorrow. The next day, Theg’Kraga wakes you at the sound of a bell. He as with him silk clothing for you to weare at the day meal. He explains that very few have had the honor of this ceremony and you must honor it since you have won the test of the five circle. Once you are dressed up (without weapons, and he insist, else you are not part of the ceremony) with silk clothing he brings you to another section of the city. You enter in a reasonable sized room. At the center of the room, there is what seems to be a water contour about 2 few large that limits a section where a low table is set with on each side 4 cushion and at each end one cushion. You are invited to sit down on one side and Assaï at one end of the table. Soon five goat men enters the room and sits on the opposite side of the table. The biggest of them all sits at the end.

Sitting at the end of the table, Dai’Mon Bir, the current clan leader of the Conkol tribe and also the curernt leader of all tribe. He is dressed in yellow and red, he must be 7 feet tall and is very powerfully built. To his left, Gul Nakol the spiritual leader of his tribe and all tribe. He is the high shaman of the Lord of Battle and as such is the only one in the room with an armour and weapon. The next to the left is the leader of the Kristah tribe, Lagh’jorsa that you have meet before. He is dressed in blue reprensenting his tribe. The next one is the leader of Nostrek tribe, dressed in green and brown he is K’Eal’Groka. The last one Jakloh of the Vegloth is dressed in purple. All of them bow to you in a ceremonial fashion before sitting to their cushion.

Once everyone is seatted, some refreshments are brought to you by servants. Dai’Mon Bir takes the lead and speak:

“I am honour to welcome you to this day meal ceremony in recognisance of your victory ion the five circle tests. Eat as much as you need and want, we are here for a long time. I will explain the ceremony so you may be aware of the steps: First we eat a small appetizer that we are served right now. We then watch the bards reenact the five battles and composing the song that will teach our decendant this five cricle challenge. We will get server the breakfast meal after that. We will see the artisant create the silk vestment that you will keep in rememberance of the challenge, each one will be designed and measure to fit you well while representing an action you did that shifted the balance of the battle. Then we will eat the mid day meal. The afternoon will be dedicated to etch on you the tattoo of all the tribe that repersent the friendship and alligence of our two people. We will then have the main course of the day and have the rest of the evening to discuss and asnwer your questions.”

Once he has finished, the ceremony starts and go along its course. The only part where you thinks you don’t enjoy that much is the tattoo etching… Once in the main course of the day, a more relaxed and less formal mood seem fall upon the goat men. Then Dai’Mon Bir speaks again:

“Now I presume you have plenty of questions for me or my tribe men leaders, we will answer some of the questions to the best of our knowledge and will try to see how we can help you in your quests. But one thing botters all of us, why are you in the army, and how strong is your alligence to the ciy now that you are in a strange predicament, allied with mortal ennemies of Blue Water?”

Giant Bee Nests

In the last few weeks you have been travelling back and forth between giant bees nests and Blue Water soldier camp. And then you hacve travelled to the goat men valley and back. Upon your return you have found the soldier’s camp abadonned but the bees to be still alive and around.

Going back to the the nest to accomplish your mission, you have found that the bee warriors were not that strong and basically disposed of them relativily quickly. As expected the challenge was more the queen than the warriors. She put up a fight but at tthe end you prevailed. Upon her demise, the treant called to help crumbled to dust, the swarms of centiped disolved and disapeared throught the cavern cracks.

After a few minutes to catch your breath, you start exploring the room and it didn’t took you long to find a hidden passage way out of the room. This passage lead to a room that you guess is the queen’s quarter. A large room with a pile of straw a bed and very simple decoration: roots falling from the ground above which seemed to be enchantement with a small greenish aura of light. From the room another corridor leed you to another room in which all sorts of “none” natural stuff lay in chest and on the floor: copper, silver, gold and event platinum, some gems, a few work of art and mudane equipement like swords and shields, ropes, pouches and paper. All piles in relative order on the left wall of the room.

The right wall of the room catch your attention as there seem to be a map of the area drawn there. It highlights others nests location.

The egg's Yoke

3rd day of FireSeek 380 PY.

The challenge has been issued, the group stands its grounds against the last Queen of the giant bees and her three minions. As soon as they started flying, the combat changed dramatically, the advantage was now on the bee’s side. Soon a magical storm came, and two giant elementals where summoned. The challenge will be deadly. Soon the challenger of the Queen regency face more they could handle, Baltus is the first down, but Tyree is able to bring him back to life, a few seconds later it is Spak who fall under tons of dirt and sand never to be seen again, Assaï tried very hard to kill the earth elemental after him, but in the end the earth prevailed. The three left alive outside the cave-in of the bee’s nest where face with dire challenge, Baltus fell again facing the deadly arrows of the bee Queen minions, Tyree was not far behind. The last man standing, Selus did offer a longer challenge but in the end, alone against flying enemies was too much, he failed and as the other disappeared in the sands of time.

A rich hall of light appears before your eyes. You recognized the pattern on the floor as the same on Ebar’s Token. The hourglass on the floor seems to be emptying drops of blood into a liquid much darker. The walls are of pure yellow-golden hue and there is thirteen doors are around the round room. In front of each door a ghostly form enters the room. It is obvious that each silhouette are only half complete, each of the silhouette completes another one. Only one of the ghostly forms does not appear to have a match and looks more solid. You recognized the shape as the being that called Ebar. He looks much younger, without a beard but, with the same ageless wisdom in his eyes and filled but with great sadness.

Greeting you to the hall of reincarnation, Ebar explain to you that you must now choose one of you two forms. The other will remain here for the next reincarnation if it happens. He also remind you that the pendant known as Ebar’s Token, will be hidden again and you will have to find it again to choose you reincarnation. He tells you, in a sad and low voice that he underestimated the power of this place and his own power. This is the last time he will be able to help you from this place. Soon he will pass away in the next world and won’t be around to control and direct the magic of this place and the tokens he created. He hopes that you will remember this and focus on your true mission. He will try to help you as much as he can once more in the living world… We will meet soon, again…

5th day of Ready’Reet, 415 PY

Since the time you can remember, you know that the world you are living in is another form of hell. Everything you know is either war, death or total selfishness. The history of this once grand city, the city called Blue Water is more a tragedy than anything else. Sadness, frustration and sometimes starvation are the daily lot of many on the city. Unlike most of the other citizen, you kind know that you have a rendez-vous with a destiny.

As youth of the city, you had to spend time with some elders to listen to their wisdom, but the one that caught you up completely is Ebar the old. After listening to him, he invited you and five other kids quite often to speak, spend some time and retell you countless time the legend of the plague. After realizing the other kids were like you (all wearing the same birthmark), your destiny was confirmed. Ebar spent much time trying to explain and describe to you the grandeur of the cities in the past, the number of people living in it, the green world and many other things that you have great difficulties imagining.

Meeting with Ebar was more like a restful break in the daily survival in Blue Water. Several events have troubled the life on the plain in the last few years:


  • The artist Hezek Bellen disappearance. Since he vanished, many have accused the King to have made him a scapegoat for his speech and opinion in giving to the poor and making sure all could be feed properly. But mainly it is his opinion that the leaders of the city if not the plain should be elected and not born into power. Many have search for his body without finding even the slightest trace or even a clues.
  • Arkus Boreno as basically became the most powerful citizen of Blue Water. He has found riches and is using it to get more popular and have more power. Since the Hezek incident, he is more careful about his speech and action. He has become more a shadow and keeps to himself than before. The fear of behing removed might have to with his attitude change. But as always, Arkus manage to stay on top of events and is still well respected (or feared) by most in Blue Water and slowly outside of the city as well.
  • The only allied city of Blue Water that remains is Ul-Bakak, but more and more the trades and relation are difficult and soon there will be no more. Ul-Bakak had requested several time the help of Blue Water’s army to deal with infestation of orcs without success. Several trade train never reached Ul-Bakak and many also never saw the wall of Blue Water from Ul-Bakak.
  • Hill Town is utterly destroyed. Confirmation that a powerful necromancer has turned the city into undead over 15 years ago and lunched attacks on Blue Water made the life on the plain miserable. The problem has never been resolved and still exists. What is left of Hill town is unknown, but what is getting out of there is known: undead by the dozen. Since the fall of Hill Town the plain have seen an influx of undead of all sorts. This reminded everyone of the legend of the plague. And some openly call for mercy of the God Incabulos.
  • Forge Town as utterly disappeared. No one in Blue Water has heard anything since the war of Hill Town over 15 years ago. Metal trade and everything that is made of metal is now overpriced in Blue Water (about 5 times the price). Metal is almost more valuable than gold and gems now. A few messengers and scouts have tried to reach Forge Town but none of them ever returned.
  • Since the war, many have died and resources are getting low. Cult of Incabulos are now rumoured to exist. Recent disappearances of common folks tend to feed the rumor that Incabulos cults are sacrificing human to keep the plague away.

Many things happened and now are a reality of life. Blue Water was once a city of almost six thousands souls, now a mere three thousands survive. The fields outside the city once inhabited and cultivated are now just cultivated by day and left for themselves at night. The army of Blue Water has been reduced to a few handful of war veteran and some recruits barely able to man the two city gates. If an organized attack on the city was to come, it would fall within minutes without any hope of recovery. The city as become a sad place and the citizen has no hopes of a better future. Several families have left in hopes of finding something better, all of them have never been heard of again.

As youth of the city, growing in this dying world you have done many things to try to help. While doing so, you gained a good reputation and several political bodies of the city are offering you interesting avenues, all hoping you will accept their offer and bring hope to the city itself.

Here are some of the offers of the table for your group to consider:


  • Arkus Boreno is offering employment with his group. He does not provide the details of any agreement but assures you that it is a fair deal. He wish to hire you for several reasons, one is to investigate a few sites he knows on the plain that could bring interesting profits.
  • The army of Blue Water (or what’s left of it) offered you an interesting deal. As officer of the army your first missing would be to stop and reduce to nothingness the leaders of Hill Town, profit, reputation and land would be granted.
  • The King of the plain, via an emissary is offering you employment, to find and resolve economic issues especially what is going on with Forge Town and re-establish the metal trade.
  • Traders and herders guilds wish to hire your service for a secret mission. They are not telling any details but assure you that profit and high standing in the guilds will be yours if the mission is successful.

What is your choice? As a group your time as now come to prove yourself worthy of the destiny that is yours!

Letter from Nerull

Master,

I must report to you my progress in spreading this new disease. I must say that our great Lord Nerull, Hater of Life, have provided us with a great weapon! The ritual works very well the orc vermin given them strong combat aptitude and crazy madness. I have sent several of them to Ul-Bakak. I have unfortunately not be able to confirm if the new plague will be successful, I expected to see first-hand the results of the ritual but a group of hireling from the village have come to investigate our plans.

I have followed the group a couples of days, since the village of Urg-Vallo. They have discovered the ruins I’ve put in but nothing more so far. As I am writing these lines, they are making their way to Arx-Red village which I have decimated a few weeks ago. I will dispatch of them there.

I must also report strange facts that might be of interest to you. While plaguing Arx-Red, I have found a magical shirt. After close inspection I found embroided in the fabric the plague legend, as told by the old fool Ebar. I may be mistaken but I recall our allies in the tower have reported finding another item with similar writing, this is worth investigating, and maybe we can finally put to rest ebar the weak sooner…

I see that you that you have survived and completed the first quest. I am most pleased by this. Now since you are asking, yes indeed I have a second investigation for you. My people have discovered this text in some excavation:

In ancient times, before the arrival of the wizard tower, tribal leaders where the keeper of the knowledge, keeper of the tradition, keeper of war and peace; but most of all they were the king of this desert, of this realm.
